The Department of Defense has identified 3,517 American service members who have died since the start of the Iraq war. It confirmed the deaths of the following Americans yesterday:

WALKUP, Frank B. IV, 23, First Lt., Army; Woodbury, Tenn.; 25th Infantry Division.

WILKEY, David A. Jr., 22, Pfc., Army; Elkhart, Ind.; First Infantry Division.
